Forum Post: Change the Filter On option on Opportunity Associated View for Account form


We have been working with one of our clients from UAE region for implementation of the following D365 modules, Dynamics 365 for Sales (On-Premises) & Dynamics 365 for Customer Service (On-Premises).

Requirement: the client needs a customer portal which will act as an interface between its customer and ‘Dynamics 365 Sales & Customer Service’. The purpose of having customer portal is providing access to customer’s clients to access Dynamics 365 information in a secured way. Note: The ‘customer portal’ needs to be from Microsoft as an out of the box solution

We need confirmation on the below pointers

Query 1:

There is no Out of Box Ready on-premise portal available which will allow the external users to login to the portal and access the data from Dynamics CRM On Premise. (Sales and customer Service module)

Query 2 :

We understand that PowerApps portals is the only solution that Microsoft has to offer for portals (including customer portal). Hence the only way to achieve the above requirement is using Microsoft PowerApps Portal (as default product from Microsoft)

Can we confirm that PowerApps is a cloud-based platform which can be integrated with on-premise MSD 365 sales & support and can be provided as solution to client ?
