I am working on a team that is expanding my company’s CRM to include a foreign office, and we are starting to consider the limitations of the currency fields.
I can’t seem to find a simple answer as to why the currency field, which defaults to the user preference currency, becomes locked after the record is saved. It makes sense that you would not intend to alter the initial currency to avoid deviations due to budgeting, but is there a technical explanation for why this happens?
Is there a way to remove that ‘feature’?
