Staying in step with Microsoft’s RC1 release of .NET MAUI, Telerik UI for .NET MAUI offers its 0.7.0 release. These controls are in preview and free to explore.
Aloha, friends, and welcome to the new Telerik UI for .NET MAUI release! Together let’s explore what’s new in the latest 0.7.0 version of Telerik UI for .NET MAUI.
Support for .NET MAUI Release Candidate (RC1)
The Telerik UI for .NET MAUI follows the Microsoft release cadence and, with each frequent update, we release new components, enhancements and features. Today, I am more than happy to share that our bits are compatible with the latest Microsoft version
of the platform.
In addition to this, our team ensured that bits are properly working with the latest .NET SDK 6.0.300 on MacOS and with the latest 17.2 Preview 3 version of Visual Studio for Windows.
RadNumericInput Gets Redesigned
Our highly customizable input control for numeric data—the RadNumericInput—has been redesigned both internally and externally.
What does this mean? 🤔 Internally, the RadNumericInput has been migrated from being a Xamarin.Forms Renderer to a native .NET MAUI Handler.
The team also worked hard to polish the control so we can ensure we provide you with all the benefits of the platform while making the look and feel of the component match the guidelines of the platform the app is running on. You have mobile-first views
on iOS/Android and a desktop-friendly look when running on Windows/MacOS. Here’s a look at how the design has evolved.
TabView and Entry—Rewritten With .NET MAUI Handlers
In our efforts to provide you with cutting-edge components that get the best performance on top of the .NET MAUI framework, the RadTabView and RadEntry controls have been rewritten—they’ve evolved from being Xamarin.Forms Renderers to native .NET MAUI
Handlers. This not only improves performance by limiting the number of visual elements, but it also enables you to have an easier way to customize the component for each platform—iOS, Android, Windows or MacOS.
